Turee Creek Compressor Station
Newman, Western Australia
Valmec was awarded the Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical & Instrumentation (CSMPE&I) construction and installation contract for the Turee Creek Compressor Station (TCS) project. TCS was a new
centrifugal compression facility built as part of the GGP Expansion project.
The project scope included the brownfields tie-in work to the existing Goldfields Gas Pipeline and new station Solar Centaur C50 gas compression packages, plus all associated infrastructure and equipment. Permanent accommodation and workshop buildings for ongoing operation and maintenance of the facilities were also installed as part of the project scope.
Located approximately two (2) hours west of Newman, Western Australia, construction of the facility was undertaken in extreme temperatures through the cyclone season in a temporary camp style accommodation facility
with capped bedding limitations.
With key employees from management through grey and white collar personnel with extensive experience in the gas compression and transmission industry, Valmec staff performed all works in house, on time and below budget.
