Valmec and Kent selected for the KETH Project
Valmec in partnership with Kent, has been contracted for the Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) stage of the Kwinana Energy Transformation Hub (KETH) project.
The KETH is the flagship project of the Future Energy Exports CRC, through its subsidiary business Luth Eolas.
The facility will provide a globally unique, low-risk live environment for demonstrating new technologies and processes that will drive emissions reduction and decarbonisation of liquified natural gas (LNG) production, as well as assist the development at scale of the emerging hydrogen sector.
The facility will consist of:
• A 2 MW PEM (polymer electrolyte membrane) hydrogen electrolyser producing up to 800 kg/day of hydrogen
• A fully instrumented 10 tonnes per day (tpd) small-scale LNG plant
• A broad range of testing facilities for third parties
We are proud to be involved in this collaboration with Kent, in helping drive future projects on the pathway to commercial hydrogen production in Australia.
